BELGRADE, Serbia - A farmer's home in northern Serbia was destroyed in a blaze caused by three pigs that broke out of their pen, walked into the living room and knocked over the TV, police said Wednesday. The television tube burst, starting a fire that spread through the house late Monday in Temerin, 50 miles, northwest of Belgrade, local police said. No people were hurt, but the pigs perished. The farmer was out at the time, police said.

this is long overdue, i know. perak trip! i'm thankful i got the chance to go on this trip, thankful that i wasn't too heck-carish about everything school-related (not participating in a lot of things). it was a good experience, definitely. we did things we wouldn't have been able to do in singapore, stuff like white-water rafting which was, in my opinion, the best activity :D it was scary at times too especially when our team opted to go down the biggest rapid via the "adventurous method". omg i still remember the way aiwen and nigel flew out of the raft :/ it also gave me my sole injury for this trip: a cool blue-black, lol. there were other memorable activities - caving, travelling, trekking and being super paranoid about leeches, seeing the waterfall (much more breathtaking than the puny one next to my house), hotsprings etc. i think i need not go into detail.. WELL, another trip to add to my list of outdoor experiences (:

then from 22-23nov, we had a sleepover at tracy's house!
thanks all of you for the wonderful time together; i loved sleeping with you all (this sounds wrong -.- haha). special thanks to trace for having us. i hope ongying's having a nice time in cambodia. the airport rocks too :D

boo. i'm tired. still not done with the videos -.-

Oh yes i found this while organising my laptop files. it's a reflection peice that my friend asked me to contribute. i shall just upload it here for remembrance's sake:

The tiring thing about windsurfing is that when fatigue starts to set in, even the simplest actions (such as standing up) become quite impossible. It was after mouthfuls of disgusting seawater, hours under the scorching sun, perseverance, determination and the secret innner desire to impress, that everyone who went for the course eventually attained a certain level of skill. This windsurfing course let me get in touch with nature, experience its powers and take away with me the memories of its immense beauty.

lol, sounds a bit cheesy to me now.

i think i want to blog about cip yesterday. it's been almost a year since i last did cip; when we're given the freedom to make our own decisions, and not forced to go for compulsory cip, selfishness and laziness take over. well it was an eye-opener and a day of many "firsts": first time i painted a house, first time i came across so much lizard shit, first time i killed a small cockroach, first time i used those roller-brushes, first time i saw a black lizard up close, first time i witnessed how the poorer families live, first time i saw how difficult it really is to raise an autistic kid, first time i went into a one-room hdb flat etc.

i think i learnt quite a few things yesterday. but most importantly, yesterday reminded me about how lucky i am, and how it's about time i should stop living just for myself. oh yeah, the company was great too :D thanks, especially shu zhi chenzhuo! and ana for going home with me (:

HAHAHA all i want to do is laugh right now :D yes!! finally it’s goodbye to pw forever. i can’t wait for the moment when i submit our GPF tomorrow. what else can go wrong? in any case, i’m used to things going wrong already. lol. so, we had our OP today. i think it went fine, just that i stumbled a little towards the end. i can’t even talk properly for five minutes -.- haha whatever. byebye pw!

that was quite a long break. at long last, i can safely announce that i've survived promos and my j1 year (: the past 2 months were probably the most nerve-wrecking i've gone through in a long time. even worse than failing chem end-of-years last year -.- (i knew i would get promoted to j1, thanks to the SIAs lol). i think i've had enough of last-minute-rushing. haha slap me if i slack next year.

post-promos days were quite eventful. there was FOS to start with (: i got a few medals just by doing nothing, because there are only 4 girls in my class and the pe department had prepared more prizes than needed. lol :P then there were other school events. pw and more pw. a whole lot of outings/dinners/lunches with friends and family. and last sunday was my cousin's wedding :D

i'm running out of things to say. it feels weird to be talking to myself again (blogging).

quotes. i used to think of this stuff as philosophical crap. but really, it's all just common sense that we refuse to accept until something happens to result in a moment of epiphany. “There is no such thing as a weird human being. It’s just that some require more understanding than others. ” - Tom Robbins
